With more than 50 top vendors on-hand, TOOLFEST 2018 really was a tool lovers dream. This year marked the 25th anniversary of TOOLFEST and it was the best one yet. People from all over the Ottawa area came to Sala San Marco Event & Conference Centre on Preston Street for two days of big savings and plenty of tool-related fun.
Top Tools from Top Vendors
Walking up to TOOLFEST, it was nearly impossible to miss Milwaukee’s chainsaw demonstration at the front doors. Guests were amazed as Milwaukee reps cut through huge, thick pieces of wood with ease. When our guests entered the doors of TOOLFEST, they were immediately greeted by dozens of booths and displays from a wide range of tool manufacturers.
Milwaukee Tools held their M18 Fuel Cut the Cord Event on the first day of TOOLFEST where they offered amazingly low prices on a huge selection of tools and accessories. They had $70,000 worth of add-ons, giveaways, and prizes just for the Cut the Cord Event and judging by the amount of people at the Milwaukee booth, it was a smashing success.
From there, guests were greeted by vendor after vendor, all offering big savings just for TOOLFEST. Makita had a large red booth in one corner, while DeWalt’s big yellow booth in the opposite corner was nearly impossible to miss. TOOLFEST is Ottawa’s biggest and best tool show, so it’s not a surprise that top tool manufacturers were there showing off their products and offering products for low, rarely seen prices. Even Weber was there selling grills and accessories any backyard chef would love to have their hands on.
So Much to Do
TOOLFEST is more than just a tool show, it’s a celebration for everyone who loves tools. Contractors, painters, property managers, do-it-yourselfers, and all sorts of other tool lovers enjoyed everything TOOLFEST had to offer. There were product tours, giveaways, and a skills competition that tested the abilities of professionals and amateurs alike. Contestants competed in three events (saw, hammer, drill) to see who is the fastest. Everyone who entered the competition got a chance to win valuable gift cards from Preston Hardware.
TOOLFEST is known for serving a delicious free lunch to attendees, and this year people were treated to delicious roast beef sandwiches served fresh by the Sala San Marco staff. On day 2, guests were served mouthwatering pulled pork sandwiches and judging by how many people went back for seconds, lunch was a hit yet again!
See You Next Year
